Mark Krebs
Mark Krebs was founded in 2019 by Montreal-based designer Davin Cowper, who partners with weavers in Northern India to produce hand-made wool rugs based on traditional techniques, with the goal of transforming a person's story into a lasting piece.
The company uses 100% wool, either Indian or New Zealand, and aims to bring the authentic craft of their artisans to a contemporary market.

Handwoven in 100% wool by skilled artisans in Northern India, the basket collection derives its name from its twill yarn woven in a simple basket weave.
The wool threads speckled with pops of colour add warmth and colour depth, making it a comfortable and lasting choice for everyday living. Available in Truffle, a deep earthy tone, and Shell, a soft neutral, this rug fits effortlessly into any space, complementing both modern and traditional interiors.

Tile is a flatweave pile rug made on a hand loom. It is very tightly woven yarns and the highest density of any rug we have produced.
100% of the materials used to make the Tile rug are natural, which means the colors and patterns in your rug will be slightly different.

Rain is a Kilim rug. Kilim is the name for a thin, flat, tapestry-woven, graphic style rug. It is made by weaving the horizontal yarn (weft) through vertical yarn (warp). The rug is woven so tightly that the warp is barely visible.
This makes for a very durable rug, that can handle weight and movement.

The Stitch rug is a series of hand woven wool rug strips, roughly the width of the human body. This size is ideal for the rug weaver to work quickly and independently. After weaving, the strips are placed side by side and hand stitched together to make a full size area rug. The strip lengths are slightly varied, which gives the weavers room for error when weaving and adds a unique edge detail to the rug. The two tone neutral stripe pattern is also varied, which brings more understated complexity to this otherwise subtle design.
